It is summer in the elven wood. Everything seems to grow taller and greener here. A human wanderer stumbles upon the elven queen singing in the wood, enjoying a moment of freedom from the affairs of court.
The wanderer kneels in reverence to the station and the beauty of the elven queen. His eloquence though enamored with her, touches her heart. She welcomes this stranger to her beautiful kingdom by graciously extending her hand. He thanks her by kissing her ivory knuckles.
“All his worldly worth for this, to lose his whole heart in one kiss...” Tennyson
This painting was originally created using oils on canvas, finished in 2002.
