The Thane's Broken Dream

Kharas the mighty dwarven warrior returns broken hearted from the Dwarf Gate War with the bodies of the Thane’s only two sons atop his pony. He had told the Thane that it was a bad idea. This illustration painted in oil paint in 2005 for Sovereign Press’ DragonLance Campaign Setting: Legends of the Twins on page 66. Kharas was created by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.
