Midnight in the Garden
It is the witching hour in the garden. The moon is high, and this elven sorceress’ power is at its height. She waits for the moonlight to shine on this sacred grove.
There has always been something about a fall full moon that I have found to be more enchanting than any other time of the year. Perhaps it is that the humidity is lower and so the moon seems closer. No matter the reason, I tried to capture that feeling when creating this in colored pencils on black artagan paper during Halloween 2006.
